Shipping

Shipping Charges
Residential, curbside shipping is included on all items as denoted on the individual item.  Otherwise, shipping is additional and will have to be quoted.  Please refer to the item you are purchasing to determine if shipping is included or additional.

How you receive your order is very important!
SMALL items will be delivered by a carrier such as UPS or FEDEX. You will be notified by the carrier if your signature is required.  If you've purchased small items, please read and follow from step 2 below.
LARGE items such as game tables will be delivered by a common carrier such as ABF or YELLOW FREIGHT.  You will receive a phone call from the trucking company to schedule delivery of your order and typically they will ask for a 3 or 4 hour delivery window.  If you've purchased large items, please read and follow these steps carefully;
 
1)    With curb side shipping the trucking company is only responsible to show up at the curb closest to your door or driveway.  They are not responsible for offloading your order and bringing it into the house, office, school or warehouse.  Some drivers will assist you in getting the shipment off the truck  but they are NOT obligated to. You must make arrangements to have the appropriate number of people available to help you with offloading your delivery on the scheduled delivery day.  Failure to sucessfully unload on your scheduled delivery day will result in re delivery charges. If you need assistance in offloading, additional services are available such as lift gate or inside delivery. There are additional costs associated with the higher level delivery services that are not included in the price of the item.  Please advise us immediately if you will require these services. We will be happy to supply you with a quote and make the arrangements for you.

2) Your purchase is fully insured against shipping damage. In the event of damage we will reship or refund immediately and you will not have to wait for the shipping claims process PROVIDED you inspect your shipment carefully upon arrival and that any damage or unusual or concerning condition is marked on the receiving document before you sign. If the product has evident damage, please refuse the shipment. If you cannot see damage but suspect that it may be possible, please ask the driver to let you open the packaging and inspect. If the driver refuses, please mark the receiving document "driver refused to allow inspection. Possible concealed damage" and please ask for the drivers signature. Please understand that when you sign the receiving document  without any notation, you are stating that delivery is acceptable and that the goods have been safely received. If damage is present, notify us immediately by calling (877) 358-5579 after the shipment has been signed for with exception. We will immediately resolve the issue, which may include reshipping your order, sending replacement parts or issuing a return authorization number. If undisclosed damage is discovered after receipt, you must notify  us within 72 hours of receipt  and we will process a claim via the carrier. In this case the resolution shall be in accordance with the trucking companies claim process.

3) Installation is available for certain items sold on our site and provided by third party service companies that are arranged by us.  When purchasing installation, the item ordered is shipped to the freight terminal that services your address where it is held for pick up by the service team who will perform the final delivery and installation. If available, the installation price is quoted either as an option directly on the item page or as an option using the shipping calculator.  The price includes final delivery and installation to any room in your home via a single, straight flight of stairs. All other conditions or locations in remote areas will require a custom quote. In some cases the service team will have the ability to remove the packing material. Otherwise it will be made smaller in size so that it can be discarded by you with your trash pickup. Pallets are not removed or cut up. Once installation dates are established it might be necessary to reschedule based on a variety of factors including weather, mechanical break downs, daily volume or item availability. Returns are not accepted for missed or rescheduled installation dates. Upon arrival of the installation team it is the purchaser’s responsibility to inspect the item prior to installation being certain it is the correct item and free from defects or shipping damage. Please notify us immediately in case of an incorrect item or damage. A decision will be made whether to continue with the installation or reship the item. Though inconvenient, in this case it is often best to proceed with the install so that you may have full use of the item. Once any necessary replacement components are available, the service team will be scheduled for a return trip to install any replacement component(s). In extreme cases where an item is damage beyond repair and noted prior to installation, at our discretion we will authorize its removal and complete replacement.



 

Shipping Time
Most orders will be shipped within two business days from the date your order is received and accepted.  
Business days are Monday thru Friday excluding any US Federal Holidays. All orders are shipped via standard ground methods. If you have a specific date that you need your item(s) you must advise us of that date at the time you place your order.  We will contact you to confirm your request and to discuss if expedited shipping methods are needed to insure your item(s) are received on time.
All expedited shipping requests will be considered.  Shipping companies are chosen by us, unless you choose a specific carrier.  Shipping charges may apply for special carrier requests.


Warranty
All items offered for sale on eFamilyFun.com are warranted against maufacturing defects by the manufacturer. Each manufacturer warrants its products differently, however, each generally reserves the right to make repair to the item or replace it at its choosing. All warranties relate to the item only. Costs associated with installation is not warranted. Please contact us in advance of your purchase if you require additional details about the warranty of the product(s) you are considering purchasing.

Returns
At efamiliyfun.com, customer satisfaction is a top priority for us. After receiving your item if you are not completely satisfied for any reason you may return it within 30 days after receipt. The only exception to this policy is for custom orders and special orders which are non-refundable. If you are unsure if your item is being custom produced and therefore subject to restricted return or cancellation, please call customer service at 1-877-358-5579 or email us at fun@efamilyfun.com

In the event that you need to return an item, we have specific guidelines, standards and conditions that are important to be aware of:
1) If you wish to return an item, please call   1-877-358-5579  to obtain a Return Authorization Number ( RMA ) .  No returns can be accepted unless they are pre approved and an RMA has been issued.
2) All returns related to any issue other than shipping damage,receiving an incorrect, or defective item will incur a 25 pct restocking charge. In the event of shipping damage please see clause 7 below.
3)You will be responsible for covering the cost of the freight when the item was shipped to you and for the return freight.  The actual shipping costs paid by eFamilyFun to ship your order to you will be deducted from your refund. This includes orders that included “free shipping”. Please understand that actual shipping costs can be very expensive (usually between $125 and $400 each way) for large items that have shipped via freight truck.
4)The item must be returned in the original packing, be in like new condition and suitable for resale. Items being returned due to manufacturing defects must be returned in original packing.
5)Any orders that are refused upon delivery, undeliverable, or cancelled after being shipped will be subject to the above return policy, unless such refusal is because of shipping damage and/or shipment of the wrong item. In the event of shipping damage please see clause 7 below.
6) Once the item is received by us and inspected to be free of damage, we will promptly issue the appropriate net refund which will be reimbursed to you using the same method as your original payment.
7) All shipments are insured against freight damage.  It is extremely important that you inspect your shipment for possible damage resulting from shipping.  If you notice damaged cartons or merchandise, you must notify the driver immediately and note the damage on any paper work you are required to sign.   Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your rights to claim damages and have your order replaced at no charge.   Notify us immediately by calling 1-877-358-5579 after you have signed with exception for your shipment.  We will immediately resolve the issue, which may include reshipping your order or sending replacement parts.




Holiday returns: Any item purchased from eFamilyFun.com between November 20th,  and December 30th ,  may be returned until January 31. Items must still meet the return criteria outlined above. Cancellations

If your cancellation is received  with at least one business day’s notice PRIOR to scheduled shipping, eFamilyFun will gladly provide a full refund in the form of a store credit or crediting the form of your original payment. If your item has already been shipped or if cancellation is not received with enough notice, the cancellation shall be considerd a return and shall be handled in accordance with the above return policy.

An important exception to this policy is for custom orders and special orders which are non-refundable. These items are custom ordered for our valuable customers. As soon as the order is placed, we initiate the sequence of events which ultimately results in your receiving the product of your choice. Since these items are custom ordered, we and you collectively become financially obligated to purchase and pay for the item when ordered. Some manufacturers are more lenient than others in this regard.  If you wish to cancel your order AFTER it has already shipped it will be subject to the returns policy as stated above.

What is SSL?
SSL (Secure Socket Layers) was developed to protect the transmission of private documents and information (such as credit card numbers or personal identification) across the Internet. This technology uses digital certificates to confirm identity and bits of code called public and private keys to encrypt communications between the server (i.e. the website) and client (i.e. the user). The resulting private exchange of information is extremely difficult for others to interpret. This process is called the SSL Handshake.


What are the issues that digital certificates address?
Digital certificates and public key infrastructure address four issues.
1.    Confidentiality - was the information received only by the intended recipient?
2.    Authenticity - was the information sent by the person claiming to be the sender?
3.    Integrity - was the information altered en route to the recipient?
4.    Binding agreements - can a sender claim that the information received by the intended recipient was never sent? Is this a legally binding document?

How does the SSL Handshake work?
The first part of the SSL Handshake is the client validating the server and then sending the encrypted information, followed by the authentication of the client by the server, and the decoding of the transmitted data.

When the client contacts the server, both ends create a unique pair of digital keys, called public and private keys, which are used to encrypt and decode information transferred between them. Upon contact both the server and client attach their public keys to their digital certificates then send them to each other. The encrypted data is then attached to the public keys and sent back to the original computer. When the private key recognizes the public key, the data is decoded. This process ensures that even if a third party intercepts the data transmission, it won't be able to decode the data.
 

How Secure Is Information About Me?
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input. We don’t reveal any of your credit card numbers when confirming an order. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer. Be sure to sign off when finished using a shared computer.
